🌍 A productive and inspiring week for WFCCN at the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva.
WFCCN representatives Ged Williams (Board Director) and Alicia San Jose (Ambassador) actively participated in key discussions focused on strengthening global collaboration across nursing and healthcare organizations. On 19 May, they attended the Nursing and Midwifery Leadership Meeting, engaging with international leaders to advance partnerships that support better healthcare systems worldwide.
Throughout the week, discussions centred on Resolution 76.2 and the future of Integrated Emergency, Critical and Operative (ECO) Care. WFCCN joined global partners in exploring how collaboration can further expand the implementation and impact of WHO acute care tools and training programs.
We are also pleased to acknowledge the official approval of the Global Strategy for Integrated Emergency, Critical and Operative (ECO) Care 2026–2035 at the 79th World Health Assembly — an important milestone for strengthening integrated acute care globally.
WFCCN remains committed to working alongside international partners to improve critical care access, education, and patient outcomes around the world.
